StoreAutomator
Feature guide · Change history
See who changed what, and when.
StoreAutomator keeps three change logs. Each one answers a simple question about your catalog and channels, with the person, the time and the source of every change.
The history of a product's information
Every time a product is saved, the log records which fields changed, their new values, who made the change and where it came from.
- Each save as one entry, with the list of changed fields and their new values.
- The source of the change: Manual, Manual (bulk), API, Import, Repricer, Supplier feed or System.
- Changes to the main inventory product and to each channel's own version of it.
- The history of a single field, such as only the price.
- Everything one team member changed, across all products.
The log shows the value a field was changed to. Very long fields, such as descriptions, are marked as changed without storing the full text. Stock quantities have their own history on the Inventory tab of the product panel.

The history of a channel's settings
When someone saves a channel settings page, the log records which settings changed and their new values. It also records when API credentials are removed.
- Changes on Common, Catalog, Channel-specific, Template and API Connection settings.
- Only the settings that changed in each save, with their new values.
- When API credentials were removed, and whether a person or the system removed them.
- Passwords, tokens and keys are always masked and never shown in full.
The Change History button is available to users with admin rights. Each settings page shows the history of its own settings.

The history of what is listed on each channel
Inclusion decides whether a product or brand is sent to a channel. The log records each time an item was included, excluded or reset to the channel default.
- The new state of the item, shown as Included Excluded or Default
- The history of one product or brand, or of every product (or every brand) on a channel.
- The source of the change, such as Manual, Manual (bulk), API, Inclusion import, SKU import, Inclusion filters or System (auto).
- Filters by source and by date range.
A product's log shows changes made to that product's own setting. When a product is affected because its brand was excluded, the change appears in the brand's history.
- SM Sarah Miller excluded WLT-1042 Classic Leather Wallet
- JK James Kim included BLT-2210 Canvas Belt, Navy
- SY System reset BAG-0087 Weekender Bag to channel default
